A great afternoon's bowling on Sunday 15th saw 3 more of our finals completed.  Congratulations to Paul Robbins who beat Dan Shurey in the 2 Wood Singles, Chris Weller who beat Pete Wilson in the Points Cup and Kevin Siford who won the men's singles for the second year running with Keith Dunsby being the runner up.  Well done to all competitors.
 
Congratulations to our Ladies' Pairs champions for 2024.  Chris Tyrell and Rosemary Robinson  who came out as winners against Margaret Wiggins and Bev Cross in a very hard fought game winnning by only one shot. 
 
A great day for our members who represent the OBA in county bowls matches. On Wednesday 11th September during the game at Broadway, Worcestershire Richard Barnett received an award for gaining his 100th badge and Les Days was also recognised for playing his 50th game.  
 
We have our first club champions for 2024 - congratulations to Chris Tyrell and Chris Weller who have won the mixed pairs competiton and to Paul Davis, the winner of the Never Won trophy.
 
Great achievement today, 17 August, when Bev Cross won the County Unbadged Singles competition at Charlbury.  Many congratulations to Bev who played consistently well in all games and overcame Georgie Fuszard of West Witney in the final who we considered was very much the favourite to win before the competition began. 
 
Well done to Paul Davis and Dan Shurey who won our Albert Lewis Pairs competition beating Brian Ealey and Andrew Auger in the final. Another enjoyable afternoon - great support and great weather.
 
Congratulations to Chris Tyrell, Danny Shurey and Rosemary Robinson on winning our Cyril Allen Triples trophy beating Bev Cross, Glenn Pounder and Adrian Dunsby by just one shot overall having played 5 games of 5 ends each against various other triples. 
 
GOOD NEWS - Our South Africa Cup team have won their first round game against Charlbury and will now play either Chipping Norton or Hanborough in the next round. A close game but overall win by 4 shots.
 
CONGRATULATIONS TO RICHARD BARNETT AND LIAM POUNDER WHO WERE THE WINNERS OF OUR FIRST CLUB COMPETITION THIS YEAR - 2 WOOD PAIRS.  Many thanks to all who entered and came up to watch - great support from our members for a fun afternoon.
